Author announces ‘secret’ books

On Tuesday, 1 March, author Brandon Sanderson told fans he had been busy during the pandemic as he revealed he had written new material.

Announcing the news on his YouTube in a video entitled It’s Time To Come Clean, Sanderson admitted he’s written five books, which he had kept a secret from fans and even his team.

Sanderson explained four of them are “full-length novels of adult-orientated science fiction or fantasy”. The other is a story he initially wrote for his children, which the author says he will put aside for now.

Of the four books being released, three are set in his fictional universe Cosmere.
