Jordan’s partner, Nick, announces sad news
After the end of her marriage to musician Kevin Mooney, Jordan began a relationship with Nick Linazasoro.
Writing for Brighton and Hove News, Nick issued a statement confirming the death of Jordan. He shared: “It is with the greatest sadness that the family of Jordan Mooney and myself (her partner) are announcing she has passed away at the tender age of 66.
“Jordan (Pamela Rooke) has left her mark on this planet, whether it be as ‘The Queen of Punk’ or for her veterinary work and countless prize-winning cats. She lived life to the full and was true to herself and others throughout the whole of her life. She was totally trusted and respected by all those who knew her.
“Jordan was a blessed rare individual indeed. She did not want any speculation regarding her passing and wished the world to know that, after a short period of illness, she succumbed to a relatively rare form of cancer known as cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).
“Jordan was a wonderful woman and will be remembered for countless decades to come.”
Who is Jordan’s, Pamela Rooke’s, ex-husband Kevin Mooney?
In her 20s, Pamela Rooke, aka Jordan, met bassist Kevin Mooney while she was managing punk band Adam & The Ants. Jordan and Mooney left the band due to creative differences and went on to work with another band, Wide Boy Awake. Jordan managed the band, while Kevin was guitarist. However, Wide Boy Awake disbanded without releasing a full album.
The couple tied the knot which, according to the Daily Mail, prompted Vivienne Westwood to cut ties with Jordan. When the couple split up, Kevin went on to collaborate with singer Sinéad O’Connor and formed a number of other bands including Max, and Lavender Pill Mob.
