In an interview with Lyrical Lemonade last year, DDG spoke of his start on the video-streaming platform. He explained: “I been doing YouTube for like six years maybe.
“My rap career started back when I used to do little diss tracks on YouTube, but they used to hit though. I would get five million views here, ten million views there.”
In 2019 DDG dropped his debut album, Valedictorian, and featured the track Arguments, which has since been certified gold.

Nate Wyatt is a singer and musician known for his large audience on TikTok, where he has over 5 million followers.
The social media star has also released a couple of songs over the past years, with his latest single, No More Waiting, released last week.
DDG and Nate Wyatt are set to go head to head later this month, with both having shared their training with their followers online ahead of the match.
Earlier this week, DDG shared a snap from his training with his 4.4 million followers on Instagram. In the caption of the post, he said: “I’m the only rapper that’ll step in the ring & put his career on the line without a worry in the world.”
Wyatt has also previously shared an insight into his training on the picture-sharing platform as he wrote: “Counting down the days” in May.

Rapper DDG’s net worth explored
As DDG and Nate Wyatt go against each other later this month some are curious to know how much the pair are worth.
Following on from his start on YouTube, the DDG is estimated to have a net worth between $1.2 and $1.6 million. The rapper has previously spoken of how he is more focused on his passion for rap rather than its financial perks.
He explained to DJ Booth in 2020: “Nah, music is definitely a passion of mine. It’s not about the money. I had money before I started doing music.”
Wyatt is estimated to have a similar net worth to his opponent at $1 million, which reflects his presence on social media as well as his music.
