She was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and attended the Kyiv High School before modeling at the age of 18. In 2008, she started her professional modeling career when she appeared in commercials in Ukraine. After graduating high school, Khomyn moved to the USA and studied fashion designing at George Mason University in Virginia. She is also known to have worked at the UFC gym and DC clubbing.

Her relationship with Sean

The couple met when McVay was the assistant coach for the Washington Washington Commanders between the years of 2011 and 2013. The Ukrainian model was a student at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, at the time.

Their relationship blossomed and in June 2019 Sean proposed. She wrote on Instagram at the time:

“We’ve been enjoying this amazing vacation so much I haven’t had the time to make this post but … The man of my dreams, my best friend and the love of my life asked me to marry him,” she wrote via Instagram. “And I said YES!!! to being his McBae forever Here’s to our life together! ”

The couple tied the knot earlier this year

In early June 2022, the couple officially tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony before moving to a reception inside the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Khomyn documented the event in a series of Instagram Stories and posts which included her walking down the aisle with a bouquet of flowers and Sean taking a bite out of a Lombardi Trophy-shaped wedding cake.

In recent months, the couple have been incredibly vocal about the ongoing conflict in Veronika’s native Ukraine.

“I proudly stand with my fellow Ukrainians and I admire their strength,’ she said in March, The New York Post reports.

Her Instagram bio also includes a link to a GoFundMe which is dedicated to raising money to deliver humanitarian supplies for Ukrainians who need it most.

“Just watching the grace with which she’s handled this, how strong her family’s been in the midst of this, I’m just so proud to be associated with that culture,” Sean said (per the OC Register).

McVay also paid tribute to Khomyn’s loved ones. “They’re an incredible, graceful example of exactly what you’d want your family to be,” he said.
