Tua Tagovailoa may be an NFL star quarterback for the Miami Dolphins but his private life remains a mystery. We take a look at Tua Tagovailoa’s family life that includes football connections you may not have known.

On Thursday night (September 29), Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was rushed to hospital after suffering head and neck injuries. Tagovailoa was sacked by Bengals nose tackle Josh Tupou in the first half and remained prone on the field for seven minutes before being taken to hospital.

The team later confirmed the quarterback would be discharged in time to fly home with the rest of the Dolphins team.

This injury was Tagovailoa’s second of the week. During the Dolphins’ win over Buffalo Bills on Sunday, he briefly left the pitch after taking a hard hit from Matt Milano. Although Tagovailoa returned after half-time, he was left with a sore back.

The NFL released a statement after fans raised concerns Tagovailoa shouldn’t have played so soon after his injury in Sunday’s game:

The Tagovailoa family is football mad

Tua Tagovailoa isn’t the only member of his family with a love of football – younger brother Taulia is a quarterback for the Maryland Terrapins. Clearly shaping up to be a great quarterback like his brother, Taulia holds the Maryland single-season school record for completions and passing yards and a share of the touchdown record.

Although Taulia is still at college level, Tau better watch out for his up-and-coming little brother when he makes it to the NFL.

However, it’s not just his sibling who shares his passion for football. His cousins Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa and Adam Amosa-Tagovailoa also play. Myron plays in the defensive line for the Las Vegas Raiders after joining this year as an undrafted free agent.

Adam Amosa-Tagovailoa, an officer in the US Navy, plays in the offensive line for the navy.

Keeping his marriage private

Although he spends his career in the spotlight, Tagovailoa likes to keep his marriage private.

Earlier this year, news got out about the quarterback’s wedding to Annah Gore. The news leaked after FOX’s Andy Slater tweeted about the nuptials on August 22, 2022.

The wedding bells were confirmed by a marriage license that revealed the happy couple married on August 18 in Davie, Florida.

When asked about the wedding, Tagovailoa thanked reporters for their well-wishes but reiterated he wanted to keep his private life just that – private. He labeled the leak of his wedding as “kinda disrespectful”:

When asked whether getting married changed his focus, Tagovailoa joked “No girls for me I guess,” earning laughter from reporters.

What do we know about Tua Tagovailoa’s wife?

As the couple want to keep their life private, not much is known about the quarterback’s wife. From the marriage certificate, we know she is called Annah Gore and was born in North Carolina. News Unzip reports she attended the University of Alabama, the same college as her husband.

As Annah keeps her Instagram and Facebook accounts private, not much else is known about her. And although Tagovailoa’s Instagram is public, it doesn’t feature pictures of his wife and focuses on his career instead.

However, on a couple of occasions Tagovailoa has shown fans some insight into his personal life, including when he posted a doting birthday message to the “greatest mother ever.”

We imagine she’s incredibly proud of Tua and his brother for their achievements in football, although she probably wishes Tua didn’t get injured quite as much!
