Who is Stefanos Tsitsipas’s girlfriend, Theodora Petalas? The tennis star made headlines last year after becoming the first Greek player in history to make a Grand Slam final, and is now into the quarter-finals in Melbourne.

On 11 June 2021, Tsitsipas beat his friend and rival Sascha Zverev in the semi-final of the French Open after a gruelling five-set battle.

That set up a Grand Slam final with world no.1 Novak Djokovic, which he lost in five sets.

At the 2022 Australian Open, he faces 11th seed Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals. The Greek beat American Taylor Fritz in five sets in the previous round.

Who is Tsitsipas’s girlfriend, Theodora Petalas?

With all his recent attention and success, fans are curious about the 22-year-old’s personal life.

According to sports website PlayersGF, Tsitsipas is currently dating Theodora Petalas. The couple were first spotted together on holiday in 2020.

In an interview, Tsitsipas said they started dating about two years ago when he was in New York. The tennis star said he was shy and didn’t reveal how he felt during their first meeting but later summoned courage to ask her to go to Brooklyn to take photos. 

While the couple’s vacation made it to the front cover of Greece’s OK Magazine, the tennis star has managed to keep his relationship fairly private, with Theodora’s Instagram set to private.

In an interview from 2019, Tsitsipas revealed the qualities of his ideal girlfriend, saying “she needs to be clever”, while also adding “of course, the beauty plays an important factor too”.
