Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney has a vintage cars TikTok and it just went viral

American actress Sydney Sweeney plays Cassie Howard in HBO teen drama series Euphoria, but she also runs a TikTok account where she repairs and modifies vintage cars.

Sweeney’s earliest film and television credits go back as far as 2009’s ZMD: Zombies Of Mass Destruction, in which she played Lisa.

She’s been in some pretty major productions since, including Pretty Little Liars (as Willa), Everything Sucks! (Emaline Addario), The Handmaid’s Tale (Eden Spencer) and Sharp Objects (Alice).

But Euphoria – especially this latest season – seems to have catapulted her even further into the limelight. 

One user’s tweet about Sydney Sweeney’s TikTok feed, which consists (among other things) of her repairing, mending and modifying classic and vintage cars, has been liked almost 150K times – more than 30 times the number of views the original video has.

How long has Sydney Sweeney been making videos involving vintage cars for TikTok?

Her interest may pre-date the video evidence. Regardless, the earliest TikTok video upload documenting Sydney Sweeney’s interest in vintage cars is from May 2021.

The upload, captioned “call me a painter now”, has more than 1,000 likes. Her latest, from yesterday (17 January 2022), currently has 750.

Three out of the five most recent uploads involve Sydney Sweeney’s vintage car project. As such, the Twitter user’s claim she has a “whole TikTok page” that’s “just her repairing vintage cars” isn’t entirely accurate (sorry).

It has nevertheless garnered considerable interest on Twitter. One user compared her to Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist Database. Some admire her dedication to the craft. Others just admire her. Actually, most of the attention it has received has little to do with the craft.

Sydney Sweeney stars as Cassie Howard in Euphoria. Kyra Adler plays her 11-year-old counterpart.

Cassie, per Rue’s voiceover, “fell in love with every guy she ever dated”. 

“Whether they were smart or stupid or sweet or cruel, it didn’t matter. She didn’t like to be alone.”
