Snoop Dogg and wife Shante are high school sweethearts
The rapper and wife, Shante Broadus, first crossed paths in their teens as they both attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
They were each other’s prom dates, with Snoop having previously shared a snap of them both at prom on Instagram in celebration of their 19th anniversary in 2016.
As Shante explained to Cheat Sheet last year, she and her rapper husband first met through a mutual friend at a high school football game.
At the time, she declined to give him her digits, but after running into each other again, she gave in after he insisted.

Shante has been at her husband’s side throughout his career
Snoop’s rise in the rap scene came in the early nineties, but Shante had been a supporter prior to his start in music.
In an interview with W Magazine, Shante admitted she was one of his earliest supporters before he made it big in the rap scene.
She explained: “I was there with him when he started all this. Even before he came out [as a musician], our friends and I were his fans. We would always listen to his songs and give our opinions.”
During his early career, Shante even became his first manager and last year Snoop appointed her as such once again. In a press release, the rapper credited her as having helped guide him throughout his career since “day one.”

They have been married 25 years
Snoop Dogg and wife Shante Broadus tied the knot on 14 June 1997. 25 years on, the couple is still going strong despite a brief split in 2004 when Snoop filed for divorce.
Snoop later withdrew from proceedings, and four years later, they renewed their vows in 2008. Ahead of the couple’s wedding anniversary this week, the couple celebrated more than three decades together:
