Rapper and hip-hop artist Slimelife Shawty has been arrested along with 27 others including members of Young Thug’s YSL collective, WSB-TV reporters Michael Seiden and Mark Winne report via Twitter, but what is Slimelife Shawtys real name and how old is he?

What is Slimelife Shawty’s real name?

An indictment taking place in Georgia’s Fulton County names several rappers, including Gunna and Young Thug.

It also names Wunnie Lee, who also goes by the pseudonym, or stage name, Slimelife Shawty.

The charge the state of Georgia is bringing against Lee, according to the indictment papers, is “conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations Act”, aka RICO.

RICO is a federal law passed by congress in 1970; it targets organised crime.

GQ reports the prosecution claims Thug’s collective and record label YSL (which stands for Young Slime Life) is a “criminal street gang”. Slimelife Shawty has been affiliated with YSL since at least 2019. The outlet also calls the indictment “massive”.

Elevator Mag referred to Shawty as a “YSL affiliate” in March 2020.

Before that, though, he featured on Lil Gotit’s debut studio album Hood Baby (released 16 November 2018). The track he collaborated on is entitled Armed & Dangerous; it credits Slimelife Shawty, as Wunnie Lee, as co-writer.

On 3 July 2019, DGB Media sat down with Slimelife Shawty for an exclusive Off The Porch interview, during which the rapper (real name: Wunnie Lee) talked about how he became part of Young Thug’s YSL collective, and why he chose to sign with Alamo Records.

The defendants all have aliases; some have two. There are a total of 56 charges, although most individual defendants are only facing one or two. The charges include theft, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Young Thug (real name Jeffery Lamar Williams) is due to make his first public appearance at 11.30am on 10 May 2022 and his legal team has denied all charges against him.

“I’ll tell you the response to any allegation; Mr Williams committed no crime whatsoever and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him,” Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel told WSB-TV.
