Who is Samantha Power?

Power is a professor of global leadership and public policy at Harvard Kennedy School and of practice in human rights at Harvard Law School.

Power was born on 21 September 1970, which means she just turned 50 last fall.

Power is also the former US ambassador to the United Nations as well as a former foreign policy and human rights advisor to President Barack Obama.

She published her memoir, The Education of an Idealist, last year.

Commenting on her nomination for President Biden’s cabinet, Power has said on her Twitter that she is “immensely fortunate” to work for the Biden administration and with USAID.
