On day two at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios and Ugo Humbert resumed their five-set thriller, which was suspended overnight. In the meantime, tennis fans want to know more about the Aussie ace’s girlfriend.

Yesterday, Nick Kyrgios played his first match outside Australia in more than a year and first game anywhere for five months. As usual, it was a thriller going to a fifth set before eventually being called off due to the London curfew.

UK covid regulations have set an 11pm curfew for all events. Deep into the fifth set the match ran over time and was played to a finished today.

Nick Kyrgios in the headlines once again

Nick Kyrgios is no stranger to a headline and he made them once again by repeatedly complaining about court conditions.

Throughout the match with Humbert, Kyrgios could be repeatedly heard complaining that “this isn’t grass”.

Other complaints consisted of things such as “this is too slow to be grass”, “this isn’t grass any more”, and “for folks at home, grass is supposed to be fast”.

Who is Chiara Passari? The personal life of Nick Kyrgios

Kyrgios has always been fairly open about his personal life and who he’s dating. Since breaking up with Anna Kalinskaya in 2019, a Russian tennis player world ranked 96, he has been with Chiara Passari.

The pair began dating about three months after his split from Kalinskaya. Chiara is also an Australian native and they both seem very open and public about their relationship.

They often post Instagram pictures with each other and comment on each others’ pictures. They do not shy away from being expressive, even in the public eye.

Chiara was spotted supporting her boyfriend in the crowd during this year’s Australian Open.

However, she will have to support from a distance during Wimbledon. Due to covid-19 regulations, all players are in a ‘bubble’ and travel restrictions prevent her from flying separately.

So did Kyrgios win after all that moaning?

Yes! The Australian put in a mega performance to win his marathon match 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 9-7.

We wish Nick all the best for Wimbledon this year. However well he plays, it’s sure to be entertaining.
