Karen Gillan and comedy writer Nick Kocher have tied the knot at a lavish ceremony at Castle Toward in Scotland.
Gillan is best-known for her roles as Amy Pond in Doctor Who and Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While the wedding was kept secret from public view, that didn’t stop a few fans noting the A-list stars in attendance. Some reports stated Julia Roberts and Robert Downey Jr made an appearance at the wedding, as well as Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat and SNL star Beck Bennett, the latter two being confirmed guests.

Who is Nick Kocher?
Nick Kocher is an American stand-up comedian, actor and writer currently based in Los Angeles, California. Some of his notable work includes writing for Saturday Night Live and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Kocher was credited as a writer for 27 episodes of SNL between 2016 and 2017.
Besides his behind-the-scenes writing work, Nick Kocher is also one half of sketch comedy duo BriTANick. This duo found success on the internet. It is a collaboration between Kocher and Brian McElhaney. The two attended New York University together.
McElhaney was also hired as a writer on SNL at the same time as Kocher, in 2016.

Nick and Karen’s age difference explored
Nick Kocher is 36 years old, as of publication date. He was born on 15 January 1986, as revealed in a tweet from 2018.
He is over a year and a half older than his now-wife Karen Gillan.
Gillan was born on 28 November 1987. She is currently 34 years old, turning 35 later this year.
