The supermodel surprised fans when she took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that she had given birth to a daughter.
Alongside a photograph of the little one’s feet in her hands, Naomi wrote: “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.

“So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”
Thousands of people were quick to congratulate her, with designer Marc Jacobs writing: “Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around.”
Her mother, Valerie Morris, wrote on her own profile that she has “waited a long time to be a grandmother.”
The 68-year-old said: “Congratulations to my daughter Naomi on the birth of her daughter, I’m beyond thrilled as I’ve waited a longtime to be grandmother.”

The 68-year-old was raised in Streatham, the South London borough where she raised her daughter.
According to You Magazine, Valerie’s parents – a seamstress and a carpenter – moved to the UK from Jamaica in the 1950s. She was just 19 when she had Naomi.
Valerie is very close to her daughter despite living in Kent, England, while Naomi lives in New York City. “If she needs advice, Naomi knows that she can pick up the phone at any time. I am only a call away,” she told You.

In 2005, Valerie learned that she had invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) , a cancer that affects the cells lining the milk ducts on a woman’s nipples.
Valerie was referred to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London for six months of chemotherapy when she found out her cancer was advanced.
She said despite legal trouble and work, Naomi “pulled out all the stops to be with me when I needed her most.”
Valerie came off the last of her cancer medication in 2013.
She is a devout Jehovah’s Witness and regularly goes out evangelising, an obligation of the faith. “Some people try to bang the door in your face,” she told You.
