Mr Beast Burger: YouTuber takes over Burger Boy restaurant for a good cause

Mr Beast Burger: On 10 November, Mr Beast took over a Burger Boy restaurant in North Carolina and gave away thousands of free burgers along with cash and other prizes. The YouTuber is well known for his charitable videos and thousands of his fans turned up to take part in the event.

Who is Mr Beast?

Mr Beast is a popular YouTuber who currently has 46.1 million subscribers. He produces a mixture of videos, some of which lean towards philanthropy, including giveaways, gaming streams and challenges.

So far, Mr Beast’s challenges have included spending 24 hours in ice, eating the world’s largest slice of pizza and attempting to build the world’s largest Lego tower.

Mr Beast’s real name is Jimmy Donaldson and he was born on 7 May 1998. He lives in Greenville, North Carolina. Mr Beast is thought to have pioneered a genre on YouTube which revolves around expensive stunts and massive giveaways.

About the Mr Beast Burger Boy collab

Mr Beast took over a Burger Boy restaurant in Wilson, North Carolina and transformed it into MrBeast Burger, as seen in this reddit post.

The charitable YouTuber gave out thousands of free meals, money and other random gifts. The line for MrBeast Burgers stretched for miles, as many fans wanted the chance of entering the Youtuber’s lucky dip.

Residents of North Carolina knew something was up after Burger Boy shared an intriguing post on their Facebook account:

“Our location was chosen to be the launch site of a special project, so for a day we will be transformed into a new dining experience. They will be filming so you stand a chance of making it into their video that will be viewed by millions. Tomorrow should be a day packed full of customers, and a lot of fun surprises.”

Mr Beast also brought in new grills and kitchen equipment for Burger Boy to keep.

Will Hyde, a producer for Mr Beast has said that Donaldson: “loves helping out communities anywhere, but it is great doing something close to home while helping out a local business that has definitely been affected by everything in 2020.”

Mr Beast’s philanthropic streak

Mr Beast has previously given away 40 cars to his 40 millionth subscriber, and millions of dollars to random strangers and subscribers.

But how does he get the money? Mr Beast has revealed that he relies on going viral for a large portion of his income, but that when he gives away large sums of money this is often supported by sponsors.
