Trinidadian-Canadian actress Mishael Morgan (The Young And The Restless) expressed her shock on social media yesterday after her husband Navid Ali found out his brother, sister-in-law and their three children died in a tragic house fire.
Who is Mishael Morgan’s husband Navid Ali?
Navid Ali and Mishael Morgan married in May 2012 and will soon celebrate their ten-year wedding anniversary.
Born on 12 March 1985 in Canada, Navid recently turned 37. He regularly features alongside Mishael and their children Naim and Naliyah in Instagram posts.

Her recent family posts include those from festivities including New Year’s Eve, Christmas Day 2021, and Halloween.
For Mishael’s birthday last year, husband Navid paid for her to go skydiving. She called it “the most unforgettable birthday present ever”.
What happened to the family of Mishael Morgan’s husband?
On Monday, 28 March, Navid Ali’s brother Nazir, his wife Raven Alisha Ali-O’Dea and their three children Alia, Jayden and Layla all died in a tragic house fire in Brampton, Ontario.
Emergency crews were called out just before 2am, CP24 reports. Four people were rescued from the house during the blaze but tragically none survived. A fifth body was later discovered, while a sixth person sustained injuries in the fire. The children were aged ten, eight and seven.
Ali-O’Dea’s father, Louie Felipa, described the events as “unbelievable”. He told CP24: “This pain I‘m going to carry for the rest of my life. I don’t know what I’m going to do.“
Mishael posted the terrible news on Instagram yesterday and tweeted shortly afterwards. She wrote she is “still in absolute disbelief”.

How to donate to the GoFundMe set up after tragic Brampton house fire
Mishael Morgan’s sister-in-law, Bismah Ali, set up a GoFundMe yesterday to raise money for the Ali family in the wake of Monday’s tragic events.
At the time of writing the fund had raised CAD $41,109 of its $150,000 goal. More than 500 people have donated, including an anonymous donation of $1,500.
“As a family,” Ali writes, “we are devastated to lose two generations in a blink of an eye. Our homes are broken as we mourn a loss that we can never replace.”
Mishael Morgan wrote of her husband’s brother and sister-in-law, and their three young children, that they should “rest in paradise”.
“Spread your wings, beautiful angels.”
