It has been announced that professional bodybuilder Megan Elizabeth has died, aged 28. News of her death was confirmed on social media on Wednesday (25 August), with some now curious to know more about the late bodybuilder.
Who was Megan Elizabeth?
Megan Elizabeth went on to compete professionally the following year in 2014 although was seen to step away from bodybuilding in more recent years. Earlier this year she opened up on moving on from competing in a post on her Instagram.
At the time, she wrote: “Crazy to think 18 days from now 3 years ago I looked like this #howthingshavechanged But I’m in love with this memory, experience and accomplishment and NO ONE can ever take what I’ve achieved away from me…. no matter how “small” I am now!”
She later added: “For now I’m just living life #doingwhatmakesmehappy”

Megan Elizabeth’s death announced by family
The late bodybuilder’s death was announced on Facebook by her mother, Denise, on Wednesday (25 August).
In the emotional post, Megan Elizabeth’s mother wrote: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that Chuck and I let you know that we said goodbye to our beautiful Megan yesterday.”
She continued: “Megan has been taken from us sooner than any of us were ready for, and as parents our hearts hurt and are broken. We now have another angel in Heaven to watch over us. Megan will join my Mom and my sister and her MawMaw. Soar high Miss Mighty Mouse! We love you always.”
Many have since taken to the comments of the post as they pay tribute to the late bodybuilder and share their condolences to her family.
