Maria Bartiromo is a journalist and anchor for Fox News, specifically Fox Business. She hosts Mornings with Maria, as well as Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street.

Bartiromo was born on 11 September 1967 in New York City to Italian-American parents. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Economics.

Bartiromo began her career by working with CNN as an intern and then as a producer and assignment editor. She subsequently moved to CNBC, where she worked for over 20 years, finally leaving for her current position at Fox.

She was the first person to report live from the stock exchange in 1995 during her time at CNBC.

She told DuJour: “One of my secrets to success is simple: I work really hard. I know there are no shortcuts, and I’ve carried out my career in that way.”

Maria Bartiromo is married to Jonathan Steinberg, known as Jono, who is the son of billionaire Wall Street mogul Saul Steinberg.

Jonathan Steinberg is the CEO and founder of WisdomTree, a business that specialises in exchange-traded funds. According to the Financial Times, Steinberg is to grow WisdomTree’s assets to more than $100 billion.

Steinberg has explained how important his father’s influence was on his career and younger self: “I am my father’s son. I was always talking business with my father. It gave me a lot of confidence in my business ideas.”

Before founding WisdomTree, he was the Chairman and CEO of Individual Investor Group and worked for six years on the Individual Investor and Ticker magazines as the editor in chief. He previously attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bartiromo and Steinberg married in 1999 and do not have any children together. They own a house in Westhampton and are known for their love of hiking and walking.

Bartiromo told DuJour:“We’ll walk on the beach every weekend, too; we’ll bundle up and get out there.”
