Louisa Jacobson stars HBO’s The Gilded Age
The trailer for HBO’s new period drama The Gilded Age dropped yesterday (Thursday 18 November), giving fans a sneak peek into the show cast. The teaser featured well-known stars Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon, as well as introducing audiences to young actress Louisa Jacobson.
In The Gilded Age, Jacobson is set to play Marian Brook, who lives with her estranged aunts Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) and Ada Brook (Cynthia Nixon).
The casting for the HBO period drama was announced in 2019, with Jacobson taking to Instagram at the time as she gushed about feeling “blessed” ahead of filming:

While her mother is a well-known name in Hollywood, as per her IMDb profile, Louisa Jacobson’s career is just starting. Despite her upcoming appearance in HBO’s The Gilded Age, Jacobson made her on-screen debut in the 2019 TV movie Gone Hollywood.
According to the actress’ website, she has also appeared in a number of theatre productions such as Romeo & Juliet, The Member of The Wedding, The Seagull and The Girl Is Chained during her time at Yale School of Drama.
