A video of Lil Durk proposing to his longterm girlfriend India Royale has gone viral.
The rapper got down on one knee during a concert in Chicago surrounded by friends, fans and family to pop the question. A video of the event has since been ‘liked’ on Twitter by tens of thousands of Durk’s fans.

Lil Durk proposes to India Royale
On Saturday, 18 December 2021, Lil Durk was performing in his home city of Chicago. He was performing at the United Center as part of the 107.5 WGCI BIG JAM. Other artists taking the stage at the Big Jam included Lil Baby, City Girls, MoneyBagg Yo, and Yung Bleu.
During Lil Durk’s set, he brought his girlfriend of four years, India Royale, to the stage. It was during this moment that Durk decided to pop the question, after performing several of his hits.
With tens of thousands of fans in the audience, it was a pretty memorable place to propose!

What did Lil Durk say in his proposal?
As many of the videos taken at Big Jam were filmed from the audience, it was hard to hear exactly what Lil Durk said to India Royale in his proposal.
From the clearest video available, you can hear Durk saying:
“You know I love you to death, you’ve been holding me down when I was going through a lot. You’ve been the realest to me. You want to be my wife?”
India then giggles in response and embraces Durk.

Durk and India’s relationship explored
Lil Durk and India Royale have been in an on-off relationship since 2017. Together, the couple has one child, a daughter named Willow. She was born in 2018.
India also has a daughter named Skylar, or “Sky.” Sky’s father is from a previous relationship and his identity is unknown. India has an Instagram account for her two daughters called The Royale Girls.
Durk has children of his own from previous relationships. Angelo and Bella Banks were born in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Their mother is Nicole Covone, who Durk had been in a relationship with from 2008. They split shortly after Durk’s third child, Zayden, was born from another partner.
Lil Durk also has another son, Du’mier, who was born in 2014.
