Ashley Busch has filed for divorce from NASCAR racer husband Kurt, meaning there’s a chance she’ll revert to her maiden name, Van Metre. What do we know about the Racing Wives star, including her career and family life outside her relationship with Kurt?
Who is Kurt Busch’s soon-to-be ex-wife Ashley Van Metre and when did they get together?
Before her marriage to Kurt Busch, Ashley’s name was Ashley Van Metre.
The couple first met in 2014 and married in January 2017. The wedding took place at Eden Rock Resort on the French Caribbean island of St Barthélemy.
Ashley’s 90-year-old great-uncle officiated the wedding. He had previously married Van Metre’s parents and grandparents, Nicki Swift writes, citing Southern Bride Magazine.

Ashley shared a picture of her and Kurt together to her Instagram followers with the caption: “Still full of smiles, here’s to many more my love.”
What does she do?
Ashley has been playing polo since the age of five. She visited England for the polo event Prince Harry and Meghan Markle organised at the end of July 2018, where she played under the name Ashley Van Metre Busch.
She and Harry even played on the same team – the winning Sentebale St Regis team – in the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club in Windsor.
Kurt Busch tweeted about the event at the time.
