Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters has announced his marriage to fifth wife Kamilah Chavis on Instagram – what do we know about his new leading lady?
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Waters
It’s never too late to find the love of your life, and Roger Waters has proved it.
The 78-year-old former Pink Floyd singer and bass player tied the knot for the fifth time with Kamilah Chavis on 13 October 2021.
In his Instagram announcement captioned “I’m so happy, finally a keeper”, the bassist shared loved-up shots of him kissing Chavis, as well as a family photo with their adorable dog.
It’s unknown when the pair got engaged but PageSix first reported the news in August 2021, when someone overheard Waters refer to Chavis as his fiancée during dinner.
We know all about the rock star, so let’s take a look at the new Mrs Waters.

Who is Kamilah Chavis?
Chavis isn’t a public figure so not much information is known about her. However, we do know she has been in a relationship with the Pink Floyd founder since at least 2019.
They have only been spotted on the red carpet together once, at the 76th Venice Film Festival screening of her husband’s concert film Roger Waters: Us + Them on 6 September 2019.
Her age is unconfirmed, but there are rumours she is about 43 years old. The couple split their time between the UK and New York.
Chavis seems to be a fan of Waters’ music, since he likes to play her his new tracks. For example, he shared Two Suns In The Sunset with her in June 2020 and, if they’re as in-love as they look now, she was definitely as ecstatic as him.
She also helped with Waters’ mission to rescue two Trinidadian boys stranded in Syria in 2019 after they were abducted and abandoned by their father.

Waters’ previous marriages
The 78-year-old first walked down the aisle with childhood sweetheart Judith Trim, an English potter, in 1969 – but they split six years later.
A year later he married the niece of the 3rd Marquess of Zetland, Laday Carolyn Christie. They share son Harry, who has toured with his father since 2002 as keyboardist, and daughter India. This was Waters’ longest marriage, although the couple divorced in 1992.
Waters was then married to Priscilla Philips from 1993 to 2001. They have one son, Jack Fletcher.
After getting engaged in 2004 to actress Laurie Durning, the couple wed in 2012 but divorced extremely publicly in 2015. During their proceedings at the Manhattan Supreme Court, she said: “I want my watch. That’s all,” in reference to her $35,000 gold Daytona Rolex, which was held at the repair shop under Waters’ name.
