Who is volleyball pro Jordan Thompson?
Born 1997 in Edina, Minnesota, Jordan Thompson is a professional volleyball player – she currently plays for the US women’s national volleyball team as a hitter.
Before that, she played on the University of Cincinnati team for four years, from 2015 to 2019. However, volleyball wasn’t always her thing. Thompson started out playing basketball in middle school, but found that it wasn’t for her.

Two years after making the switch, she landed her first NCAA Division I scholarship offer. Thompson has since played for Turkish club Eczacıbaşı VitrA, a Turkish sports club based in Istanbul, Turkey and, since 2019, the USA National Team.

Yes. Thompson married Blake Yager in late spring of 2018, after an engagement period of four months.
It is not clear exactly when they met or started dating, but he proposed to her shortly before Christmas of 2017, in front of a man dressed as Father Christmas. They celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary on 28 April.
Volleyball hitter Jordan Thompson’s husband Blake is the defensive coordinator for the Boğaziçi Sultans, Turkey’s first American football team, based in Istanbul.
From Fort Wayne, Indiana, Blake Yager is a former UC football player. Unfortunately, he could not join his wife at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to restrictions put in place to curb the spread of covid-19.
Who are her parents?
Jordan Thompson’s father, Tyrone Doleman, also had an athletic career, playing basketball for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Thompson’s uncle, meanwhile, was a professional American footballer. Chris Coleman died in 2020, following brain surgery for a condition later diagnosed as glioblastoma. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2012.
