Jessica Springsteen is set to make her Olympic debut at this year’s games as she has secured a spot on the US equestrian team. As she prepares for Tokyo some are curious to know more about Jessica Springsteen’s mother and family life.
Who is Jessica Springsteen’s mother?
Jessica Springsteen is the daughter of Bruce Springsteen and Vivienne Patricia Scialfa, also known as Patti Scialfa. As well as Jessica, the couple have two sons Evan James Springsteen and Sam Ryan Springsteen.

Jessica Springsteen’s passion for equestrianism came from her mother
While Springsteen grew up in a musical family, she has previously admitted it was her mother Patti Scialfa that first inspired her love of horses.
While discussing how she started her equestrian career with CBS Local Sports in 2018, she explained: “My mom had always wanted to ride since she was little and when I was three or four we moved to Colts Neck, New Jersey, to a farm there.
“We had all sorts of animals – cows, chickens, goats, pigs and especially horses. At a young age, it kind of taught me a lot of responsibility and dedication.”
On Monday (5 July) it was announced Jessica Springsteen had been selected for this year’s US Olympic equestrian team.
Following the news, Scialfa congratulated her daughter on Instagram. In a post to her 144,000 followers, she wrote: “US equestrian team for Tokyo Olympics – my sweet girl – happy for you.”

Who is Springsteen’s horse Don?
Amid the upcoming games in Tokyo, Springsteen will be competing alongside her horse Don Juan van de Donkhoeve.
Following the announcement she had made the US Olympic team, Springsteen took to Instagram to share her appreciation of her companion.
She wrote: “There’s no horse in the world I’d rather be on this journey with, thank you Don! You’re my horse of a lifetime. Let’s go USA!”
