Jessica Campbell, who was famous for her roles in Election and Freaks And Geeks, had always been interested in becoming a doctor. After her acting success, she turned her attention to that and started her own practice as a naturopath.

She passed away unexpectedly on 29 December 2020. Campbell’s family broke the news to TMZ yesterday.

It was reported that the former actress had been complaining about congestion and cold like symptoms, but her family say she hadn’t been tested for covid-19. The autopsy details are expected soon, but as of now the cause of death is unknown.

Jessica later gave up acting to pursue a career as a Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist. According to her professional bio, Jessica had been interested in medicine from a young age and in college found a great interest in medical anthropology.

Jessica found her calling in holistic medicine and pursued a master’s degree in acupuncture and a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. Up until her death, Jessica worked as a physician in Vancouver, Canada.

Jessica Campbell’s husband was Daniel Papkin, but very little is known about the couple. According to Jessica’s IMDB profile, the couple were married on August 1, 2009.

The couple reportedly had one son together, Oliver, who is ten years old. Some online sources are reporting that the couple were not together at the time of Jessica’s death, as her Gofundme page says that she was survived only by her son. However, with very little information on the couple, it is impossible to confirm whether this is true.
