Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt will soon be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary and it seems their as strong as ever, with the actor recently crediting his wife for getting him through his cancer battle.

But exactly how did they meet and fall in love? Let’s take a look at their life together.

Chance meeting

The Hunger Games star Stanley, 61, met literary agent Felicity, 40, at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada, which he starred in alongside her sister Emily Blunt.

It was in 2006 when Emily introduced the pair, but there was nothing more than friendship on the cards at the time.

The couple reconnected four years later at Emily and John Krasinski’s wedding, the year after Stanley’s first wife Kate tragically lost her battle with breast cancer.

It was then that they struck up a romance and they married in a civil ceremony in the summer of 2012, followed by a second ceremony in London on September 29, that year.

They welcomed son Matteo in January 2015 and daughter Emilia in April 2018. The couple now live together in London.

New York native Stanley also has three children with Kate – daughter Camilla and twins Nicolo and Isabel – and raised her two children from a previous marriage.

In sickness and in health

Stanley, who now hosts his own travel and food show Searching for Italy, opened up earlier this year about how Felicity helped him through his cancer battle.

He was diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2017 and went through a 35-day radiation treatment and chemotherapy sessions to fight it.

The disease ravaged his senses of taste and smell and left him unable to eat, with him depending on a feeding tube.

Now cancer-free, he reflected on his battle and how Felicity was there for him every step of the way.

He told People: “Felicity’s undying attention, affection and encouragement got me through it.”

Opening up on CBS Sunday Morning last year, he said his grief is still with him.

He said: “It’s still hard after 11 years. It’s still hard. And it will always be hard. But you can’t let it… and she would never want any of us to ever wallow in that grief and let it take over our lives. She would never want that. She wasn’t like that.”

He previously told NPR in an interview one year after her death that he’d struggled with blaming himself.

He said: “There’s all the blaming of yourself, which you can’t do, but you kind of do, and I’m just — I’m mostly sad.”

They’d been married since 1995.
