Utah-based social media activist Collin Kartchner has recently passed away. His wife, Elizebeth Kartchner, posted a moving and emotional tribute to Collin on her Instagram account, Dear Lizzy (@dearlizzy).
Who was Collin Kartchner?
Collin Kartchner started his Instagram venture back in 2017, using it as a platform to address the toxic culture of social media. After gaining traction through paid work on Instagram and a larger following, he began to use the platform to advocate for other causes as well.
He is best known for his crowdfunding efforts under his own hashtag, #Savethekids.
Kartchner had done podcasts and a TED Talk, all on the dangers smart phones and social media pose to young kids.
Dear Lizzy Instagram
Elizabeth Kartchner, Collin’s wife, is well-known for her blog and Instagram, Dear Lizzy, where she shares the ins and outs of daily family life with four children. Her blog bio reads: “I wanted to have a place to share creative projects, pictures of my darling munchkins & extraordinary thoughts about our ordinary days. Dear Lizzy is a dreamy place to find photo inspiration, DIY fabric projects, paper projects, and just about anything that makes me happy”.

How Collin Kartchner pass away?
Collin Kartchner passed away Tuesday 20th October 2020, at the age of 40. He had no known health conditions, making the death unexpected and sudden.
The cause of his death has not yet been announced.
There has been an outpour of tributes on social media for the late activist, including an especially moving one from his wife, Elizabeth.

Less than 24 hours ago Elizabeth Kartcher took to her Dear Lizzy Instagram account to post about the loss of her husband: “💔 My whole world is gone 💔 There is no god 💔 We’ve never known such pain 💔
He peacefully passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes in his beautiful body that we are unclear of yet 💔”
The post has been liked by nearly 30,000 people so far, showing just how many people’s lives have been touched by the Kartchners’ journey. Collin Kartchner was a pillar of Utah society, who will be sorely missed by his family, friends and online followers.
