Days of our Lives star Lauren Koslow is off to retrace her roots with her long-lost firstborn son in tow. The Kate Roberts actress took to Instagram to share a cute snap of herself and her offspring hitting the road together a year on from their emotional reunion.
Lauren, 69, posted a quote from American author Tom Wolfe as she shared her plans with her fans.
“‘You may not find a path, but you will find a way.’ -Tom Wolfe First mini road-trip with my son Josh @jspru33 Retracing roots & catching up on a lifetime,” she captioned a snap of herself and her son in the car.
Josh was behind the wheel and flashed the camera a smile as his famous mom snapped a selfie.
In 2021, Lauren revealed that she’d finally been reunited with her long-lost son. It’s a storyline that wouldn’t be out of place on her soap opera.
She opened up about what had happened on October 31 as she shared pictures of them together on the beach.
Lauren told how they’d been separated three days after Josh was born and that they “lost each other”.
She said it was through an Ancestry DNA match that they’d finally found their way back to one another.
The mother and son were seen embracing each other in hugs and holding hands in a series of snaps that are enough to reduce you to tears.
She wrote: “HAPPY Birthday Josh!!! Today, gratefully, joyfully , with never-ending love and a healing heart I can wish my firstborn, my son Josh, Happy Birthday.
“We were separated three days after his birth and lost to each other for nearly a lifetime. Earlier this year across the unfolding of time & space we were reunited. I give thanks to the mystery of the miracle & an @ancestry DNA match. So here we are. We begin again.
“To those of you still searching -Never give up hope . Love finds a way.”
Lauren, who has also starred in The Young & the Restless and The Bold & the Beautiful, is making up for lost time by spending some quality time with her son.
And her fans were delighted to see her so happy.
One commented on her new picture: “Your son looks just like his mama! Beautiful picture”.
Another wrote: “You are blessed to have found each other!”
“I’m adopted and have connected with my birth mom so your story touches my heart … sending love to you both along this journey,” a third penned.
