The latest guest to present the talk show was comedian and actress Sarah Silverman, who made her debut on the show last night (Wednesday, 11 August).
In her opening monologue, Silverman admitted she and Jimmy Kimmel had previously dated as she joked about filling in for him in presenting the show.
The actress joked: “This is actually a historic moment. I am the first person to ever cover a shift for their ex on national television. That’s right. I took his virginity, and now I’m going to take his show.”

The following year he began dating his now-wife Molly McNearny, who he married in 2013.
In spite of their past relationship, the two comedians are both friends with Silverman having appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live many times over the years.
However, Kimmel has previously admitted their friendship “took some time” after their relationship ended.
