Towards the end of his set, while walking across the stage, a shoe was thrown at the stage from the crowd.
After swerving away from the shoe, DaBaby addressed the crowd as he asked whose “Adida” it was, referring to the brand of shoe that was thrown on stage.
The moment has since gone viral on social media as some were left baffled by the rapper’s use of the expression.
Some have since debated the meaning behind the term online while others have suggested Adida could be the singular term for Adidas. Although as Adidas is a company and sportswear brand it would not have a singular variation as it is already a singular entity.

Adidas name meaning explored
As DaBaby has Adidas trending online some may be curious to know the meaning behind the sports brands name. Over the years, the company’s name has had many meanings attached to it.
Some have previously thought of the name to be an acronym with the letter’s coming together to mean All Day I Dream About Sport.
Although the true meaning of Adidas relates to the brand’s founder Adolf Dassler‘s name. The brand’s name is said to have combined Adi – a nickname the founder went by, and Das from his last name, Dassler.
