While performing his Rolling Loud Miami set on Sunday night (25 July) a shoe was seen thrown on stage near rapper DaBaby. Swerving away from its line of direction, the artist used the term “Adida” to describe the shoe. We explore the meaning behind DaBaby’s Adida expression.

What is Adida? Rapper’s term explained

Over the weekend, DaBaby played as part of the Rolling Loud festival alongside big names, including A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Post Malone and Megan Thee Stallion.

Towards the end of his set, while walking across the stage, a shoe was thrown at the stage from the crowd.

After swerving away from the shoe, DaBaby addressed the crowd as he asked whose “Adida” it was, referring to the brand of shoe that was thrown on stage.

The moment has since gone viral on social media as some were left baffled by the rapper’s use of the expression.

Some have since debated the meaning behind the term online while others have suggested Adida could be the singular term for Adidas. Although as Adidas is a company and sportswear brand it would not have a singular variation as it is already a singular entity.
