The actress took to Twitter today (Tuesday, 10 August) as she announced she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Addressing her 1.4 million followers on the platform, Applegate wrote: “Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey.
“But I have been so supported by people I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road but, as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a*****e blocks it.”

Christina Applegate is married to Martyn LeNoble, a Dutch musician known for founding alternative rock band Porno For Pyros.
The couple are said to have started dating in 2008 and announced they were engaged in 2010. Applegate and LeNoble tied the knot during a private ceremony in February 2013.
