Reported videos of a young woman dancing on Urban Meyer’s lap have gone viral, despite him being married. He states he was with family, but it has been alleged he was out celebrating Chris Corso’s birthday. Let’s take a look…
Urban Meyer: In the limelight for the wrong reason
Urban Meyer has had quite a rough couple of days – well not at first but, after a video supposedly captured him dancing with a young blonde woman, he’s gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
The Jaguars coach apologised to his family, team owner Shad Khan, and his team on Monday, 4 October 2021 for putting himself in the compromising position and for “being a distraction” one day after the Jaguars’ 24-21 loss.
He has been apologetic over the situation, where he claimed he stayed in Ohio to have dinner with his grandkids:
“There was a big group next to our restaurant and they wanted me to come over and take pictures, and I did. They were trying to pull me out on the dance floor, screwing around, and I should have left.”
Unfortunately for him, a second video surfaced on Monday shot from an alternative angle. In it, the mystery woman seems to be the same female from the first clip, but this time Meyer has his hands on her bottom.

While she hasn’t officially responded to the controversy, she has expressed her opinion in the most subtle way possible – by liking a tweet. That way, only the eagle-eyed will notice.
She liked two tweets by the same user that said: “Shelley you deserve better than him, hello my name is Erica” and “Urban Meyer doesn’t deserve Shelley look how cute her tweet was”.
