Going under the knife is a big deal, you’re putting your life and appearance in someone else’s hands. But just because celebrities pay more for their surgery doesn’t mean it will turn out better. Let’s have a look at some celebrities with plastic surgery – the good, the botched and the scary!

The good

Meghan Fox

The Transformers star has had extensive work carried out on her nose, lips and face shape. This is most noticeable when looking at her between 2006 and 2007. Fox kept adding to her facial fillers and by 2010 looked a bit strange but that was soon rectified. Although the surgery is fairly obvious, it’s hard to deny how flawless she looks.

Khloe Kardashian

It’s no secret the Kardashian clan are icons but their beauty isn’t all natural. Khloe has been under the knife and the surgery that didn’t sit well were fillers. She regrettably admitted on her show Kocktails With Khloe she had to get them dissolved. This hasn’t stopped her from continually going under the knife. She now looks unrecognisable, although it’s hard not to envy her body – even if it is the result of a surgeon’s handiwork!

The bad

Courtney Cox

The Friends star started Botox and filler injections in her early 40s and kept adding to them over the next decade, making her look a little wobbly at times. By 2016 Cox decided it was time to dissolve the fillers and rock a more natural look. Although her face has been permanently altered, her choice to dissolve the Botox is a huge improvement.

Victoria Beckham

The former Spice Girl underwent the knife to get breast implants aged 25. Beckham denied having plastic surgery, although it was obvious, until her lawyers admitted the fact in 2005. She has since removed them and is embracing a more natural look, which undeniably looks much better.

The scary

Michael Jackson

The King Of Pop has had an extensive amount of surgery and looked downright bizarre before his passing in 2009. One of the more noticeable changes in his appearance was his change in skin colour.

Jackson was rumoured to have bleached his skin as he was diagnosed with vitiligo and was worried about his skin looking patchy or uneven. On top of that he had rhinoplasty, and chin and lip augmentations, leaving him looking scary. Regardless, he remains a legend in the music industry, a fashion icon and loved by millions.

Pete Burns

The You Spin Me Right Round singer admitted to MailOnline he had more than “300 operations to fix botched plastic surgery”. The celebrity already had an eccentric look pre-surgery, post-surgery even more so.

People took to Twitter to say how terrifying Burns looked, one user shown on The Sun stating: “Pete Burns really is scary.”

These people have all managed to remain successful, despite their many surgeries. If we can take anything away from this, it would be to research potential surgeons if you’re thinking about plastic surgery yourself.

Sites such as Realself will help you to find reliable surgeons.
