Country singer Brad Martin is familiar to many for his hit 2002 single Before I Knew Better, has died aged 48.

Following the reports of his passing, the late artist appears to have been linked to teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210.

We take a look at the confusion surrounding the late country singer Brad Martin and the show, as well as debunking his connection.

Country singer Brad Martin dies aged 48

The late singer’s death was confirmed by friend and former collaborator John Ramey, who he had previously worked alongside in the musical duo Martin Ramey.

In a statement on his Facebook on Saturday (12 March), Ramey wrote: “I can’t believe I’m saying this… My dear friend and music brother Brad Martin passed away this afternoon… I am heartbroken. Rock on my brother!!! You were a great friend, true talent, and it was an honor making music with you!!”

Martin, who was born 3 May 1973, was an Ohio native and moved to Nashville in his 20s to pursue his dream career as a country singer and ended up signing with Epic Records in 2000.

Many may be familiar with Martin for his hit single Before I Knew Better, which was released in 2002. As per The Sun, it was one of the 50 most-played country songs the year following its release.

No, country singer Brad Martin was not in 90210

As news of the singer’s passing is shared online, Brad Martin appears to have been linked to the teen drama series Beverly Hills, 90210 which was on air for a decade between 1990 and 2000.

The singer himself did not feature on the series however, coincidentally, a stuntman of the same name is credited to have previously worked on the series.

According to his IMDb, stuntman Brad Martin who was born 14 January 1970, performed stunts on the show during its first season in 1990.

A look at the stuntman’s career

Brad Martin is a renowned stuntman in Hollywood and, over the years, has racked up some notable credits in well-known franchises such as The Matrix and Spider-Man films.

Martin has also worked as the exclusive stunt double of George Clooney in several movies, including The Peacemaker, Batman & Robin and Three Kings.

As well as performing stunts himself, he is also a stunt coordinator and in action director. Martin’s most recent credit as a stunt coordinator was on Marvel series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
