YouTube stars Aaron Burriss and Veronica Merrell, who is also known alongside her sister Vanessa as the Merrell Twins, have confirmed they are dating following years of fan speculation.

It’s official RonRon is a thing! YouTuber’s Aaron Burriss and Veronica Merrell have announced they are an item. Burriss revealed their relationship in a new video as he explained they had been dating for four years.
The news comes after years of speculation by fans. During this time, those who shipped the two together began referring to the two as RonRon, which combined Veronica’s nickname Ronnie and the second half of Aaron’s name together.
RonRon took off in the two YouTuber’s fan communities, with some having dedicated channels to the couple nickname. However, while the two were shipped by fans, Veronica often referred to Aaron as her best friend in videos.
In a 2019 video alongside her sister Vanessa, Veronica was also seen to dismiss dating rumours with Aaron as the twins answered questions while wired up to a lie detector.

How did they meet?
Aaron Burriss’ latest video reveals the two YouTube stars first crossed paths at the social media convention Playlist Live in September 2017.
Burriss explained they got to know each other over the weekend and later went on to have their first date when they both returned to Los Angeles.
They later started dating after he asked Veronica to be his girlfriend that New Year’s Eve.

Aaron Burriss and Veronica Merrell’s relationship explored
Over the past four years, Aaron Burriss and Veronica Merrell have both posted snaps alongside each other across social media but did not confirm or deny they were dating despite fan speculation.
In Aaron’s latest video, the two explained they had kept their relationship low key so that they could prioritise being together away from the pressures of an online relationship.
Veronica admitted: “The reason [their relationship] has gone so well is because we’ve prioritised our relationship over everything else.” Aaron added: “Which is why we’ve kept it private for so many years.”
The couple went on to say they felt not confirming or denying their relationship was the best way to protect it, as they still enjoyed creating content together.
