With the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy, LeBron James sent Undisputed host Shannon Sharpe a seriously cool gift featuring all sorts of crazy custom items.
LeBron stars in Space Jam: A New Legacy
LeBron has faced Michael Jordan comparisons his whole career, and with his latest film release, Space Jam: A New Legacy, that’s only going to continue.
The film is a standalone sequel to Jordan’s 1996 cult classic, and sees the Lakers superstar team up with the Looney Tunes in a crazy combination of live-action and CGI effects.
The synopsis reads:
‘Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James and his youngest son Dom (Cedric Joe)—who dreams of being a video game developer rather than follow in his father’s footsteps—find themselves trapped in the Warner 3000 Server-Verse, a virtual space ruled by a tyrannical A.I. by the name of Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle).’
‘After Dom is captured, LeBron must save him and get home safely by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny, and other notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to win a basketball match against Al-G’s digitized champions on the court, the Goon Squad: a team of powered-up virtual avatars of professional basketball star.’

Shannon Sharpe receives epic Space Jam gift from LeBron
As is customary with films these days, studios (and stars) often send out promotional gifts to influencers in order to promote their movie.
It’s no secret that LeBron and Undisputed host Shannon Sharpe are tight. Which is probably why James sent the former NFL star an epic Space Jam gift.
Sharpe revealed the contents of the gift on Twitter, which came in the form of a Space Jam locker.
Inside revealed all sorts of goodies, including a customised pair of LeBron sneakers, an Xbox console and controller, and Space Jam jersey.

People thought it was pretty cool.
It’s certainly a cool gift, but one that could serve as a distraction from the fact the film hasn’t been met with the best reviews.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 43%, with an average rating of 5.3/10.
The website’s critics consensus reads, “Despite LeBron James’ best efforts to make a winning team out of the Tune Squad, Space Jam: A New Legacy trades the zany, meta humor of its predecessor for a shameless and tired exercise in IP-driven branding.
