Teacher gifts homemade knitted hats

In the viral video, the teacher pulls a striped hat out of some tissue paper and explains that her mom knitted one for each child.

Every one was designed by the student on a piece of paper first and she copied the colors exactly, so every hat is different.

Mrs White then filmed the moment she surprised the children with the hats, saying: “So we all remember when I asked ya’ll to color a picture of a hat?”

The teacher said the drawings were going to be for a bulletin board, so the kids had no idea the designs were going to be made into real hats.

“Well, I might have fibbed a little bit but I took all of your papers and I gave them to my mom and my mom turned your drawings into actual hats,” she continued.

You hear the entire class gasp in amazement as she pulls out one of the hats. Then, they all scream loudly: “No way!”

“She tried to match the colors as close as possible, so all of you will have a hat to wear to keep your little heads warm for the winter.”

‘This is so precious’

In the comments, TikTok users are in awe at the time, money and effort spent to give gifts to her class this Christmas.

One person wrote: “Omg the amount of work she did! That’s awesome.”

“You are one of the teachers they will remember THEIR WHOLE LIFETIME,” said another.

A third person commented: “This is so precious, thank you for all that you do in the classroom.”

“This is a memory they will cherish forever. Your students are very lucky to have you,” another said.

The adorable moment is even making people cry, with someone writing “Why am I sobbing?” and another adding: “I teared up.”

Social media users asked to see all the amazing hats the children colored, so Mrs White showed them all off in another video.

Lots of them did a rainbow design as that’s what she showed as an example, but each one was amazingly unique.
