iOS 18: When does it come out and what new features to expect
The upcoming iPhone iOS 18 update is now officially in beta, meaning its exciting features like artificial intelligence integration and customizable icons are now just a few weeks away.

People with lots of visitors will also be pleased to learn that sharing their Wi-Fi password has been made even easier.
If your photo albums resemble a scene from a horror film, you might be keen to learn that Apple has designed a new system. As reported by Macrumors, there will be greater filtering options, new photo collections, and your handy Apple Intelligence to keep your ducks (photos) in a row.
Maps and Calender apps have also received an upgrade with new features, a fresh design, and better functionality.
AI is the aim of the game
For months, tech fans have heard of Apple’s potential partnerships with both Google AI and OpenAi, the creators of the controversial ChatGPT. That full AI integration is now on the way under the name of Apple Intelligence, though it is able to collaborate with ChatGPT for more in-depth requests.
The AI is reportedly woven into all major systems and will play a big part in the iPhone’s functionality going forward. It will also allow users to create AI-generated emojis, meaning the number of potential emojis is limitless.
Like other AI platforms, Apple Intelligence will allow you to refine writing and wording like the best grammar apps. Image Playground further expands creativity with its ability to generate images dreamed up in your imagination.
Siri and search capabilities will also be improved through Apple Intelligence, bridging the gap between apps and allowing Siri to behave like a digital assistant. Soon enough, you won’t even have to touch your phone if you don’t want to.
More overhauls for existing iPhone apps
Alongside dazzling new features and demanded functions, Apple is also reworking its existing apps to better suit its customer base.
For Safari, that comes in the form of highlighted “important text” that could include dates, locations, directions, and menus depending on the site you’re visiting. On an entertainment site, you might find the names of actors highlighted.
Another snazzy new capability is distraction control, which stops the influx of information on your webpage that might otherwise be distracting.
Struggling to remember your passwords is at the forefront of modern technology issues, so Apple has redesigned its Passwords app to better combat this. Not only does it keep your login information in one place, but it can also be shared with numerous people if you all use the same account.
You can also delete your Microsoft Word or Google Docs apps, as the Notes function will very quickly outpace them. New organization functions are on the way with a brand-new feature that solves math equations. Furthermore, a dedicated journal app is being launched as an extension of Notes.
Gone are the days when you needed to use online banking, as Apple Pay will be able to bump your friends some cash in the iOS18 update. Of course, it’s all password-protected.
