Women with underrated hairstyle ‘27% more likely’ to match on apps, says dating coach

If you’re a woman not getting “enough” matches on dating apps, it’s worth reconsidering your hairstyle. A love coach reveals four things men find most attractive in the opposite gender and trust me, you’ll be surprised.

Matching with decent daters on apps like Tinder, Bumble or Hinge is tricky, let alone falling in love. If you’ve had a bit of tough luck with either, maybe you’re using it wrong.

Things that attract men the most on dating apps

Only those who have played the field know what works and what doesn’t on dating apps.

Dating coach Nelly Sudri was surprised upon seeing a study by Hinge because women who wear their hair a specific way have increased chances of finding matches.

No, letting your hair down doesn’t work. The love coach says profiles of female users with pictures of themselves with their hair pulled back have more chances of finding a dater.

“If you have pictures of yourself where your hair is pulled up and back and out of your face, you are 27% more likely to get swiped on and receive a like,” Nelly says.

Furthermore, your chances of receiving a like increase by 76% with a smile showing your teeth rather than pouting or holding a poker face.

She says women have higher chances of matching with a man if they are alone in their pictures and aren’t looking straight into the camera.

How lucky are men in finding matches?

Let’s talk about men and matches on Hinge. According to the statistics shared by Tech Report, nearly half of male users on the app don’t get a single match a day.

Moreover, 13% of men who join the platform do not match with anyone in the first week, while they like 1 in every 3 profiles they view.

As far as relationship interest for all genders is concerned, 87% of users on the app are looking for a relationship, while 3% seek hook-up. The rest 10% are looking for “other”, meaning an ill-defined relationship.
