3 things you should never wear on a flight especially to avoid awkward security encounter
Deciding what to wear to the airport is always tricky. You want to be comfy but also need to make sure you’re not too hot or cold – and you don’t want any awkward security encounters either!
Fashion experts at AN-Y1 have revealed three things you should never wear to an airport because they will make the whole experience so much more stressful – and some ideas on what to wear instead.

3 things you should never wear to an airport
1. Difficult shoes
First, never wear shoes that take ages to take off with loads of laces or buckles. You don’t want to be that person sitting on the floor in the middle of the security hall trying to get your shoes off as everyone impatiently waits behind. Slip-on shoes are ideal for security checks, and they can easily be removed during the flight for ultimate comfort.
2. Fabrics that aren’t breathable
Airports are usually very hot and sweaty places, but planes are often quite cold. To be prepared for both climates, opt for layers that can be taken on and off and breathable fabrics like silks, cashmere, leather or cotton to help regulate your body temperature and avoid skin irritation. Don’t wear sweaty fabrics like polyester or nylon.
3. Too many accessories
Finally, you should never wear too many accessories as they can not only provide more trouble at security but also create discomfort when resting or moving around. Hats, scarves, jewellery and belts can all become uncomfortable while sitting for long periods of time and create more things to keep hold of while moving around airports.
