Lay’s drop 3 international flavors
Last week, Lay’s announced three limited-edition flavors, inspired by countries around the globe – Greece, India, and Korea.
The new flavors are exclusively available in the U.S. so you can enjoy the flavors from across the borders at the convenience of your home. Here’s what you can expect in each bite.
- Wavy Tzatziki – This flavor is inspired by refreshing Greek flavors of yogurt, lemon, dill, garlic, and other unique elements. The press release describes it as a “crunchy take on the creamy Mediterranean classic.”
- Masala – The second flavor is full of flavors imitating the traditional Indian masala dishes. Expect a burst of cumin, coriander, turmeric, and pepper in every bite.
- Honey Butter– All the way from Korea, the flavors on the third variety are said to be a blend of buttermilk honey and butter tastes – “a beloved combo.”
The new drop is meant to appeal to unique senses and offer a taste of different communities worldwide.
“Now, at the height of travel season, we’re excited to make those dreams a reality and bring them adventure through every bite of our Global Flavors lineup,” saidTina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing, PepsiCo Foods North America.
You can win an international trip
What more? In addition to bringing international flavors to your doorstep, the brand will pick one lucky winner to visit the country that inspires the flavors in person.
By entering the contest that runs from August 12 through September 28, one fan gets to travel to one of the three countries.
You can enter to win by scanning the QR code on the back of the Lay’s bag of any of the new international flavors or by visiting the official website.
Lay’s was recently in the news for expanding its Lionel Messi collab with Crispy Taco flavor chips. For the unversed, the chips brand and the footballer go way back, which we have explained in our previous story.
