You can force anyone to trust you by doing one simple thing, ex-spy reveals
Getting someone to trust you is the key to just about anything. Once you earn their trust, you have complete control – but how do you get it?
A former CIA agent has explained a trick all spies are taught to get anyone to trust you and it involves one simple thing that everyone can do.

How to get anyone to trust you
Andrew Bustamante was a covert intelligence officerin the CIA for seven years from 2007 to 2014 and now shares the skills he learned with the world to help people in their everyday lives.
Speaking on Steven Bartlett’s Dairy Of A CEO podcast, he explained that to get someone to trust you, all you have to do is spend loads of time with them. Yes, that’s it!
You don’t have to like something before you start to trust it. So. even if they hate you, it’s easy to win their trust if they spend enough time around you.
You’ve heard of the phrase ‘falling in love’ but there is also something called ‘falling in trust’, which is easily done without even realizing it.
“Spend enough time, long enough, and what happens is without even realizing it you start to trust the person that you’re with,” Bustamante revealed.
Spending time together will force the person to “fall into trust” as they learn more about you and connect to your personality in some way.
Once they start revealing things about themselves to you, that’s when you know that you have earned their trust.
‘That is the beginning of influence’
The former spy explained that trust in the “beginning of influence,” which is the capacity to have an effect on someone else’s character, development, or behavior. Having influence on someone can be used to your advantage as you can sway their thoughts, decisions and actions.
When you have influence over others, this is a form of power which can be useful in all areas of life, BetterUp explains. Influential people stand out by capturing attention, are usually respected by others and can persuade people to agree with them.
Influence is especially important in the workplace as you are more likely to be noticed and get promoted or get raises. Your ability to work with a team also improves and you develop stronger relationships with coworkers.
