American tries Greggs for the first time and it’s not the taste he loves most
An American man has gone viral on TikTok after trying Greggs for the first time, and his rating couldn’t get any better.
The popular British bakery chain specializes in savoury products such as pastries, sausage rolls and sandwiches, as well as sweet items including doughnuts and�cream cakes.

“I’m an American here first time in the UK, here to try out the famous Greggs,” Pop’s Food Review, who is reviewing food places across England, said.
He got two items, a bottle of orange Fanta and a Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt, which is one of their most popular pastries.
First, he tried the Fanta and said surprisedly: “Wow, it’s got a real good bite. An orange, citrus bite. You don’t get that in the US.”
American Fanta has a completely different color and taste, and it all comes down to the colorings used which are banned in Europe.
He then tried the pastry, which consists of pork sausages, baked beans and melted cheese wrapped in a golden puff pastry, and he loved it!
However, it wasn’t the taste he adored most – it was the amazing texture. He said that UK eateries focus on texture “a lot more” than in America.
Taste-wise, it reminded him of when he grew up in Hawaii and ate pork, beans and bread, but he said: “I like this better.”
“The question is am I willing to spend my hard-earned American dollars on this? And the answer is yes,” the man continued.
Then, he gave it a top rating – 10/10!
