Sprite announce brand new ‘Chill’ flavor in time for summer, but fans share one major confusion
Sprite has a brand new flavor called Chill that has divided opinions online thanks to its rather confusing marketing strategy.
Since its launch in 1961, Sprite has cemented itself as Americas third most recognizable soda brand. Previous flavor spin-offs have included cranberry, cherry, grape, orange, tropical, ginger, vanilla, Ice, peach, and Berryclear remix.
What is the new Sprite flavor?

Last year, Sprite announced the new flavor at the NACS show, a convenience store convention, alongside Coca-Colas own Spiced beverage. Now it seems the drink is finally making its way into stores, but some fans are confused.
Though there is still no official press release, we now understand that the Chill flavor is actually Cherry Lime. As reported by customers on the ground, the Sprite Chill beverage is available in traditional and sugar-free varieties.
Though most fans are undoubtedly excited to try the unique flavor pairings, some are confused by the meaning of the word chill. Is it a hidden secret? Is it simply a marketing tactic?
After the news was shared by the popular Instagram page, Snackolator, fans took to the comments with their own thoughts.
One person wrote: Cherry Limeade seems overrated. Could have been something more unique like Sprite and Peach or Sprite and Pomegranate.
I wish they have CBD in them, another person said, while a third added, I haven’t found it yet in Houston looked everywhere.
An exciting year for the Coca-Cola family
Alongside the Sprite announcement last year, Coca-Cola unveiled the Spiced rendition of their legendary soda.
We know consumers are more and more willing to experiment with new and unique flavors, Sue Lynne Cha, Marketing VP, said at the time. CocaCola Spiced is not spicy, but its our boldest innovation yet. Its CocaCola with an unexpected, extraordinary twist.
Hopefully, reviews for Sprite Chill will be slightly more positive than the mixed bag of Coca-Cola Spiced opinions.
On X, formally known as Twitter, one person wrote: Coca-Cola. Cough Syrup Edition. Yes, that’s exactly what ‘spiced’ reminds me of. Tastes like medicine.
If you like raspberries and you like Coca-Cola then you should definitely try Coca-Cola Spiced. It’s pretty good, someone else wrote.
A third added: Unless you like drinking perfume, please, never ever ever try Coca-Cola Spiced.
