Little boy offers the most insightful and wise relationship advice of 2024

A little kid has shocked social media users by offering arguably the most intelligent relationship advice you have heard in years.

The viral clip comes straight from Recess Therapy (@recesstherapy), whose YouTube, Instagram and TikTok accounts post clips of interviews with kids playing outside in the Big Apple. Boasting over 2.3 million followers on that platform alone, Recess Therapy is known for hilarious moments and heartwarming confessions.

The kid offered stellar advice

In the funny new clip, which has gained 8.6 million views and 1.7 million likes, the interviewers sat down with a boy called Miles. Though the start of the clip was undeniably funny, the ending shocked TikTok users after Miles shared some truly golden advice.

After being asked if he had any crushes by celebrity special guest Maggie Rogers, Miles confessed: Only three people, three and a half.

The boy revealed that a full crush is wanting to marry the person while a half crush is for someone you merely like. In Miles case, he was half-crushing on Ben and fully crushing on Jack B, Zoey, and Clara. His stomach also had a crush on food, but whose doesnt?

You cant control the wind but you can control the sails, he spat out suddenly, perhaps unintentionally quoting the late Jimmy Dean.

After Rogers offered her own explanation for the quote, Miles said Thats not what it means and explained: It means its not about what happens to you its how you react.

Americans want Miles ‘for President’

Of course, most of Recess Therapy’s followers were astounded by Miles’ demonstrated emotional intelligence, with some arguing he would be great in the White House.

One person wrote: “I need the algorithm to bring me back in 20 years for Miles and Jack B’s wedding.”

“Who is raising him?! Can they raise me?! Omg!! The Emotional intelligence! The next generation may save us,” another person wrote, and a third said, “Miles has more insight and clarity than most adults I’ve met.”

Other followers were thrilled by how easily Miles said male names when discussing his crush, with one person stating: “The way he said like ‘boy names’ without hesitation or any sense of fear behind it made me so happy.”
