7 weird and wonderful tech solutions you need for your kitchen

The rise of online shopping has brought with it countless gadgets and gizmos designed to make our lives easier and The Focus has picked out seven weird and wonderful bits of tech you need in your kitchen.

Whether theyre updated versions of kitchen essentials or novel designs that feel like they belong in a sci-fi TV show, these incredible utensils are going straight on this writers wishlist.

Self-stirring mug

Just made yourself a steaming cup of coffee but dont have any spoons to hand? Worry not as you can buy a mug that will stir its contents for you.

We came across this ingenious piece of technology in a video from TikTok user @thatisperfect and the mug he demonstrates is currently available on Amazon for just $9.99.

Heated coaster/mug warmer

On the subject of hot drinks, if you find that you keep forgetting to drink your coffee before it goes cold, a regular occurrence for this writer, then you might find use for a heated coaster that warms any mug you place on it.

Amazon has a variety of these available from as little as $7.99, although ones with higher reviews will set you back around $16.99 or above.

You can buy self-heating mugs themselves, but these can be quite expensive, the cheapest we found was $96 so a heated coaster may be a more affordable option.

Vegetable chopper

Another time-saving kitchen utensil that this writer desperately wants is a 12-in-1 vegetable chopper demonstrated in a video by @ronreid5 on TikTok.

The model he shows off is available on Amazon for $12.99 at the time of writing and comes with more chopping mechanisms than you could possibly need and a 1.2-liter container for storing your chopped veggies in.

Inkless label printer

In the aforementioned video from @thatisperfect, he shows off an easy-to-use label printer – what stands this apart though is that it is ink-free.

Available on Amazon for $76.99, the printer is made by a company called Phomeno and instead of using ink, the device prints by generating patterns on thermal paper using heat.

This can be a great addition to your kitchen if you want to label your countless bottles of herbs and spices.

USB drink cooler/mini-fridge

The final kitchen gadget recommended by @thatisperfect is a USB-powered cooler.

Big enough to fit a single can of soda or a small selection of snacks, this could be great for plugging into your laptop to keep your drink cool while working.

The model he shows off in the video is the Oumji Mini USB Fridge which you can find at Walmart for $28.21 or on Amazon for $31.69.

4-in-1 chopping board

The humble chopping board has been around seemingly forever but a 4-in-1 chopping board shown off in a video by @thejunglebadger is surely a kitchen must-have.

Available on Amazon for $18.93, this product boasts a traditional cutting surface, an aluminum defrosting tray, a knife sharpener and a garlic grinder.

3-section frying pan

And finally, @thejunglebadger also shows off a non-stick frying pan that boasts three separate sections, ideal if you want to save on washing up.

While not the exact model shown in the video, you can find a MasterPan three-section skillet on Amazon for $36.53.
