Pouch lifestyle is the new must-try technique for organizing your life

Social media users are starting to see the allure of the so-called pouch lifestyle after a former Real Housewife revealed her current organization obsession.

The trend was seemingly started by Bethenny Frankel, who is most well-known for her work on shows like The Apprentice and The Real Housewives of New York City. Since leaving the show in 2019, Bethenny has accumulated a loyal following of 1.6 million followers on TikTok.

It’s kind of genius

The 53-year-old chef brought the pouch lifestyle to the spotlight last year as she detailed how she stays perfectly organized with such a busy lifestyle.

“Today we’re gonna talk about my pouch obsession and lifestyle,” she said at the time. “This is my jewelry pouch.”

Bethenny’s pouches were a little like Russian nesting dolls in the sense that one pouch contained a multitude of others. For instance, the jewelry pouch featured a different section for watches and several zip-top bags for her hair extensions. She even took the trend to the next level by using a label maker to mark each individual pouch.

Essentially, Bethenny’s bags contained everything she could possibly need without the annoyance of rooting around for specific items or emptying them onto the floor for a better look.

The trend seems to have caught on social media as numerous users report great experiences with the pouch lifestyle. While appearing on the LadyGang podcast, Keltie Knight further opened up about her experience.

She said: “I am f*****g crushing a grown-up work bag. It has been a radical change in my life, I spent 30 minutes less every single day.”

“I have anything you’d ever need. I have a tampon pouch. I have pens, double chargers, a charger at home, charger at work. I am crushing and I’m just so proud of myself,” she added.

TikTok seems on board with the pouch lifestyle

Social media looks to be giving the pouch lifestyle their all as numerous people report being more productive and better organised.

One person wrote on TikTok: “Pouches are a jam. people joke with me because I’m a ‘mama’ I have everything.”

“Im all about pouches. In my work bag, in my purse. All about pouches,” someone else said, as a third commented, “My purse has 4 pouches. work bag had 5 pouches. I’ve been using this method for 3 years and it is a life changer.”
