The best memes from Dune: Part Two featuring Stilgar, Lisan al Gaib and Spice
Up to now, 2024 has been a bit underwhelming for moviegoers but the arrival of Dune: Part Two has given film fans a reason to head to the theater and several scenes in the sci-fi epic have quickly inspired plenty of memes on social media.
Following on from 2021s first installment, Dune: Part Two continues the story of Paul Atreides (Timothe Chalamet) as he attempts to ally himself with the Fremen, the native people of the desert planet Arrakis, so that he can take revenge on House Harkonnen and those who butchered his family in Part One.
As Written
While Paul arrives on Arrakis as a nave young boy, the secretive and mysterious religious order, the Bene Gesserit, has been hard at work spreading tales of a prophecy, claiming that an off-worlder matching Pauls description is their messiah, the Lisan al Gaib.
Javier Bardems character, Stilgar, has been raised on these tales and quickly believes Paul to be the messiah-like figure and in scenes quite reminiscent of Monty Pythons The Life of Brian, will take even the most inconsequential action from Paul as a sign that he is the Lisan al Gaib.

Spice up your life
A key part of the Dune universe is the psychedelic drug called melange, better known as spice, which is found on the planet Arrakis. The substance is vital as it allows for interstellar travel but it is also highly addictive and harvesting it is incredibly hazardous.
Unsurprisingly, thanks to the drugs name, there have been plenty of Dune: Part Two memes related to the British pop group the Spice Girls.

Wriggling worms
One of the most iconic elements of Frank Herberts sci-fi creation are the terrifying sandworms that prowl the deserts of Arrakis.
But after seeing this meme, all we want to know is where we get our own sandworm to ride into the theater to watch Dune: Part Two.
The sandwalk is a crucial method of avoiding detection by the sandworms on Arrakis but were not sure how effective this version would be.
Sadly, the dancer in this meme is not Timothe Chalamet himself. I know, were disappointed by that as well.
A highlight of Dune: Part Two is seeing Paul first ride one of the sandworms, but a lingering question remains… how on Arrakis do you get off one of those things?
