Fans of the Apple MacBook have been left with a sour taste in their mouths after the tech giant unveiled information for their upcoming M3 release.
Though technology gets better year on year, just look at the recent Apple Vision Pro, there is also a feeling that prices soar and the end product remains the same. Enter Apple, the King of releasing phones that look pretty much the same.
Introducing the MacBook Air M3, the newest Apple release
On Monday, Apple unveiled its plans for the shining new addition to its MacBook Air family, the M3 chip. Among other shiny improvements, the company promised increased processing power and accelerated internet viewing speeds.
MacBook Air is our most popular and loved Mac, with more customers choosing it over any other laptop. And today it gets even better with the M3 chip and new capabilities, said Apples senior vice president of Marketing in a press release. From college students pursuing their degrees, to business users who need powerful productivity, or anyone who simply wants the unmatched combination of performance, portability, and industry-leading battery life, all in a fanless design, the new MacBook Air continues to be the worlds best thin and light laptop.
As is normal with a new model, the company has reduced the price of the M2 and completely discontinued the M1.
Social media isnt happy
Web producer Marques Brownlee shared the release with his 6 million Twitter followers, many of whom took issue with the amount of memory available to M3 customers.
One person wrote: There should not have a 8/256GB in 2024.
8gb. Even my phone has more, another said, while a third scathed, Feel like Apple is going too fast into the Chip Upgrading, storage seems to me like a big topic still, we can do way better than 8/256.
