I have ‘bed attack happiness’ every night, and heres how you can too

As of late, Ive been experiencing bed attack happiness every night, and its largely down to a few very simple steps. Dont fret though, Im going to help you too!

Bed attack happiness is an internet term that has recently popped up on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Essentially, its employed to describe the burst of joy you feel when you get cozy for the first time. This is usually accompanied by a little shimmy or wiggle.

Its become a viral sensation

TikToks Jacob (@jacob_t_king) spoke about the trend recently when he posted a video on the app showing the moment he jumped into bed.

POV: Its cold when you get under your blanket you have an attack of happiness, he captioned the post, which displayed him wiggling around with a massive smile on his face.

The rest of the app seemingly agreed, as one person wrote: Then you just start rubbing you or feet together.

So it’s a universal thing I thought I was the only one, another said, while a third added, I literally just did that.

How to achieve Bed attack happiness

The first step in achieving bed bliss is to ensure you are substantially cold beforehand. Pain is gain, so crack open those windows and make sure your room feels like the Arctic.

Then youre going to get into your snuggle clothes of choice, whether those be some matching pajamas or the preferred baggy hoodie, shorts, and socks. The rest is simple, so just hop into bed and feel that dopamine release in waves.

The in-depth method

There are, of course, other ways of achieving nirvana, and I have found that setting the scene correctly significantly helps with getting to that sweet spot.

One sure wire way is to light a candle and give your pillow a good drenching in pillow mist. Herbs like valerian, lavender, and chamomile are known to aid sleep, so all are solid choices for aromas to be wafting around. It need not be expensive either, as there are plenty of recipes out there to make pillow mists yourself.

Fresh bedding is also a mandatory step. Though its simply not realistic to replace your complete bedspread each day (unless you have a maid), 50% of people feel better emotionally once those crisp sheets are on. Though not necessary, weighted blankets are also a cracking way to reduce anxiety and increase relaxation.

The final step is to engage in your chosen choice of relaxation. Though experts would suggest going right to sleep, for some, that is easier said than done. Whether you like to listen to music playlists, read, or binge Netflix, pick something you know is going to genuinely lower your heart rate and slow down your mind.

The final step is the wiggle, which is compulsory. Be pleased with yourself, for you have reached bed-attack happiness.
