A funny trend is taking over Instagram this week called ‘Teenage You I Bet Some Of Ya’ll Skip’, which sees people sharing some rather embarrassing pictures of themselves.

‘Teenage You I Bet Some Of Ya’ll Skip’

The trend is one of Instagram’s ‘Add Yours’ stickers which prompts you to share a picture of yourself when you were a teenager. That’s literally it – find an image of yourself when you were in your teens and share it on your Instagram Story.

However, the trend has gone viral as most people’s teenage pictures are pretty embarrassing, making for a funny trend. That’s why the sticker says ‘I bet some of ya’ll skip’ – because some people won’t want to share an old photo of themself online.

Instagram’s ‘Add Yours’ feature lets people make stickers with prompts that other users can interact with by uploading their own images. The ‘Teenage You I Bet Some Of Ya’ll Skip’ one has already been used more than a million times.

How to do the ‘Teenage You’ trend

The sticker was made by an Instagram user called Astrida Mascarenhas, and you can find it on her profile.

  1. Go to the Instagram profile @addyoursstickers
  2. Click on the highlight bubble called ‘AYST – 13’
  3. Keep tapping the screen until you get to the last page
  4. This should be the ‘Teenage You’ sticker
  5. Click ‘Add Yours’ and upload your own photo

It comes just weeks after a similar trend called ‘All Pretty Girls and Handsome Boys Tap In’ went viral which saw people sharing their most attractive pictures.

People really are skipping the sticker

As expected, lots of people are skipping the trend to avoid all humiliation, and it’s become a bit of a joke on Twitter/X.

One person wrote: “‘Teenage you i bet ya’ll skip’ yeah u damn right I’m skipping right along.”

“‘Teenage you I bet some yall skip’ me indeed skipping,” another agreed.

A third person added: “‘Teenage you i bet some of you will skip’ damn right I am skipping, I refuse to be reminded.”

“‘Teenage you I bet youll skip’ YOURE BET YOUR MOM IM SKIPPING THAT,” someone else wrote.

Another said: “‘Post teenage you I bet some of yall will skip’ damn right lol no one needs to see me at that stage again.”
